I am a psychotherapist and clinical social worker (SWIA.SC.70138824) in Seattle, Washington. I bring several years of experience working with adults in crisis and transition; especially queer and trans folks, students, and survivors of domestic violence. I frequently work with people who are lacking balance in their relationships, who are experiencing needless anxiety, or are working through challenges of identity and self-understanding. More broadly, I work with people who are experiencing:
Anxiety
Relationship Challenges
Grief & Loss
Life Transitions
Difficulties in Education
Past Relationship Abuse
Identify Exploration (esp. gender and sexuality)
In our sessions, we attend to the background beliefs, emotions, on-going relationships, and your lived environment to explore what is challenging you. Utilizing a relational psychodynamic approach, we will be curious together about how you ended up where you are and where you may go from here.
In this work, I don't think of myself as a guide leading you toward some destination I've already decided on. I'd rather sit next to you. Together we learn to think and feel as a pair, curiously and without flinching, getting closer to whatever is difficult. Sometimes that means changing it. Sometimes it means learning to hold it differently.
My task is to be a gentle, watchful steward of your healing and growth. I'm still learning, still listening, and I am a perpetual student of this practice. If you want a psychotherapist who is honest, steady, and fully present, including with the parts of yourself you're still learning to name, I'd be glad to talk.
